I am not a film critic, I am a film enthusiast, I love every aspect of film but most of all I love a good performance in a movie. A great performance can elevate a film, it can allow you to fall in love with a character or hate a character.

Putting together my best of the year in acting list is my favorite part of the award season/year end rundown, I love seeing great acting. In this article I have picked my top five-ten in eight categories: Best Male Lead Actor, Best Female Lead Actor, Best Female Supporting Actor, Best Male Supporting Actor, Best Ensemble Cast, Best Voice Acting, Best Young Actor and Best Breakthrough Performance, along with honorable mentions for all categories.
